From yesterday's game at KBU, here's the few things that we should remind ourselves with:
1. Get your markers away from the thrower. Do not clog up the area. Pass the disc down the field and cut towards the centre or the other side of the field.
2. Do not break your force. This one we have to keep on reminding ourselves not to break the force. This is why the opponent always have someone running deep easily and the hucker gets an easy huck down the field. Tight D. Defense is the best offense. Remember this because this is how KBU play.
3. Scan the field. Always look out for an easy and good passes. DO NOT always look out for a particular person. Trust your team mates!! If they've done their best to get away from their markers, pass it to them! Otherwise that effort will be wasted.
4. Hard cuts(NOT banana cuts), sweet passes in front of the receive please! Kevin and I will get some drills for this matter. And receivers, please attack the disc, DO NOT wait for the disc to land in your hands.
5. Decision making. This can only be improve by playing more in pick-ups and tournament. Huck only you think you can. Don't get intimidated by the end zone! Get the disc off the sidelines and swing it to the other side of the field.
Kevin, do you have anything to add on? See Leong? Mark?
Generally we all still need to practice our throw more. Know your limit. Push it and make it good. Don't get your eyes off the person that you wanna throw to. No point looking at the ground or sky when you're passing the disc.
I'll be at the field throwing disc this few evening so feel free to join along.
